What is the typical lead time for a custom injection mold?
15-25 working days for standard precision molds (1-8 cavities). Complex multi-cavity or high-speed stamping dies: 30-40 days. Expedited 7-15 day service available for urgent projects.
What precision tolerance can you achieve?
Plastic injection molds: ±0.005mm to ±0.01mm. Metal stamping parts: ±0.01mm to ±0.03mm. Precision machining: ±0.002mm with Sodick wire EDM and Makino CNC equipment.
What materials do you work with?
Engineering plastics: LCP, PBT, PA66, PA6, PPS, PC/ABS, POM, ABS, PP, PE, TPU, TPE (Sabic, Dupont, Celanese, BASF, LG Chem). Metals: Phosphor bronze, Brass, Beryllium copper, Stainless steel, CRS, Aluminum.
Do you provide design support and DFM reports?
Yes, free DFM reporting included with every mold project. Within 24 hours of receiving your 3D CAD file, our team provides analysis on draft angles, wall thickness, gate location, weld lines, ejection design, and cost-saving suggestions.
What is your typical mold life expectancy?
Standard prototype: 10k-50k shots. Production molds (P20, 718H): 300k-500k shots. High-volume hardened steel (S136, H13, D2): 1,000,000+ shots. Maintenance guidelines and spare parts recommendations provided.
Do you offer prototyping before mass production?
Yes — three options: 1) Soft tooling / bridge molds for 500-5,000 samples (10-15 days). 2) 3D printed SLA/SLS prototypes (3-5 days). 3) CNC machined prototypes from actual production materials for functional testing.
What file formats do you accept for quotes?
2D: PDF, DWG, DXF. 3D: STEP (.stp, .step), IGES (.igs), SolidWorks (.sldprt), Parasolid (.x_t), STL, Pro/E (.prt). Most quotes returned within 24 hours.
